Yearbook for Research on Antisemitism
The Jahrbuch für Antisemitismusforschung( No. I-X Campus Verlag, Frankfurt a. M., from No. XI Metropol Verlag, Berlin) is the Center's most important publication. It strives to consolidate the many studies that are scattered throughout the various scholarly disciplines and to present them in a single forum. Because research on antisemitism is conducted on an interdisciplinary basis, there is a significant possibility that findings published in the individual journals of each discipline will not receive the attention of scholars of other fields. The Jahrbuch sees itself as an international undertaking that crosses boundaries between disciplines. It is the intention of the editors and publishers of the Jahrbuch that the journal provides stimulation toward and cumulative influences for new undertakings from the wide range of contemporary research as manifested in the empirical and historical studies. The content of the Jahrbuch coincides with the Center's research focus. In addition to the findings drawn from the more narrowly defined antisemitism research, there are sections on National Socialism, persecution, Holocaust, emigration and exile, and the causes and effects of the National Socialist ideology. The Jahrbuch does not contain a review section, but offers instead more expansive review essays that address trends and tendencies of literature as well as individual outstanding works. A diversity of subjects combined with central sections presenting a number of essays dealing with a single topic is characteristic of the Jahrbuch format.Publication Series
In addition to the Jahrbuch für Antisemitismusforschung, the Center publishes a Number of book series (at Campus, Frankfurt a. M; Wallstein, Göttingen and Metropol Verlag, Berlin), as well as the series “Lebensbilder – Jüdische Erinnerungen und Zeugnisse" by Fischer Taschenbuch Verlag. A series of video and audio recordings that have been produced since 1995 under the title "Erinnern als Vermächtnis" is devoted to survivors of the Holocaust. In the “Bibliothek der Erinnerung" (Metropol Verlag) autobiographical texts about exile and persecution have appeared. The Dachauer Hefte journal is published by the director of the Center, Wolfgang Benz, in cooperation with Barbara Distel. The Metropol Verlag, which works closely with the Center, publishes a monthly journal, Zeitschrift für Geschichtswissenschaft. There is also a newsletter that appears in irregular intervals to provide information on the current publications, events and research projects of the Center.Nationalsozialistische Konzentrationslager
